Stanford’s Memorial Church will always be special place in my heart.  When we first launched JAYTSAI photography in 2007, the very first wedding we shot professionally was at Stanford Memorial Church.  For the next few years, we featured and promoted the venue for it’s majestic interior, Romanesque architecture, and the beauty of surrounding Stanford campus.  Today, it is still one of my favorite venues to photograph weddings.  Congratulations Laura and Andy!

Couples often ask me for suggestions for their engagement session.  There’s no shortage of iconic landmarks in San Francisco – Golden Gate BridgeFerry Building, Palace of Fine Arts, Legion of Honor, San Francisco City Hall, Presidio, Golden Gate Park, just to name a few.  Then, I often follow up with the question, “Is there a place that’s meaningful to both of you?”  Maybe it was the fancy restaurant you went to for your first date, or the corner pierogi truck you frequent every Friday night.  It could the spot where he got down on one knee and nervously popped the question, or the stadium of the home team you both loved and rooted for.

Allison and Andrew spent MANY of their weekends hiking the hills all over San Francisco Bay Area.  Mt. Tamalpais was their absolute favorite.  They remembered this stretch of the forest that was a world of its own – a little slice of peace and solitude far away from the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley.

First engagement session of 2019, and it was a COLD one!  Nevertheless, with the temperature in the 40’s and the wind howling, Lisa and Aaron bantered, laughed and danced through it all.  Potrero Hill never disappoints – every time we are here, the view and the sunset are always stunningly beautiful.   Congratulations Lisa and Aaron, I can’t wait to photograph your wedding this summer!
